dust and a light bit of oil, probably ‘ersatz’, and are about the size of a small brick. The size and number limits the length of fire time plus the amount of heat but it does remove the chill and that makes it much more comfortable than if we had no heat whatsoever.

The rations are all dished out from what is know as the communal kitchen to each block. They also are responsible for the cooked food issued at various times and hot water for drinks three times daily. Water for washing clothes can also be obtained an hour after each ‘Trinkvasser’ period.

Today is Nov. 13 and though it is quite early, last night the puddles froze and an evidence of snow flurries was plain. Sort of remind me of deer hunting days.
