Newspapers are delivered daily. The only hitch being they are printed in German. However, there are three weekly news sheets printed at Berlin in English and a limited number give to each block. They are - “The Camp.” - “O.K.” or overseas kid - “The Signal”. Naturally this the German side of the news but never the less quite welcome.

It seems quite impossible to get a haircut as they are limited to a certain number per block per month due to a limited number of barbers and their implements. However there is usually a handy man in each room and at times he is called upon to cut hair. Mine has been ‘chopped’ once and it wasn't too bad although i can say the boy will never make a hair dresser on ‘civvy street’.
