Filed intent to marry Joanna (1835 - 1863) on 26 November 1855 in Kittery and were wed there by George M. Payne 3 days later. Both were from Kittery [Source 133].
Married Isabella (28 April 1845 - 1919) on 15 June 1864. She was also from Kittery [Source 133]. An un-annoted Source has her as daughter of Voranus (or Doranus) Kimball and Lucy A. Whitton. So, as with everything in these pages, it might be right & it might be wrong!
Postmaster, Pharmacist; Sailor in 1850 [Kittery Census].
Served in the Army during the Civil War.
Owned a Kittery drugstore (“during Prohibition” says Family Legend - but he died too soon for that). This COULD have led to some of the drinking problems in the family.
Had a niece, Shirley Austin.

Joanna died on the Yard (Hsp. 7B)...
They brought up 3 orphaned Fernald girls: Jessie [Malone] (pretty, worked in P.O. before marrying. At about 40 she was coming out of W.E. Paul's Plumbing & Hardware when she was struck by a team or car and killed); Georgie (Bowdan).
