A George O. is buried in lot with Arlette Howes', Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton (corner of Washington & Broadway). BUT the source lists the DEATH in 1846. I believe it's this George (& a typo).
A book on Medford births lists a George Otis Trefethen as being baptized there on 03 September 1843. Allowing an error in dates, these could be the same.
Married on 27 March 1879, in Taunton, age 33, a 'Trader' born in Medford, Massachusetts. Wife was 18, born in Chatham (Massachusetts Births at SLC have 'Ashburnham), Massachusetts; daughter of Ogden & Mary. 1st marriage for both. [S36:Massachusetts MAR. RECS]
Listed as a 'Sea Captain' in 1880 when daughter was born [S36:Massachusetts BIRTHS, SLC].
Taunton Directories have him listed as (in 1887) a Master Mariner, resided at 44 Union St.;
(in 1907) a Drawbridge Tender, resided at 56 Washington St.
He is NOT listed in the 1931 Directory, and is assumed dead by then.
