THE MURDER OF TENA DAVIS.

Trefethen and Smith Held for Examination.

Malden, Mass., Jan. 11. -- In the District Court, this morning, before Judge Pettengill, James H. Trefethen of Everett, was arraigned upon a complaint charging him with the murder of Miss Tena Davis, of Everett, with instruments unknown. He pleaded not guilty, and was held without bail for examination Jan. 24. William H. Smith, brother-in-law of Trefethen, was arraigned on a charge of being accessory before the fact, and was held in $10,000 bond for examination Jan. 27. Both men were committed to Cambridge jail.
