Wife was the daughter of Ebenezer & Hannah; baptized 24 December 1780 in Portsmouth

Daughter Ann0824 was in the care of his brother William0852, and son William0928 was in the care of Lucretia in 1820. James is listed as deceased
The New Hampshire GAZETTE lists the deaths of two his children dying on 20 December 1803 & 20 October 1807
His widow, Margaret TREFETHEN (before 1764 - after 1778) married (2) Thomas Smith in May, 1779, Portsmouth, New Hampshire by Samuel Haven. Tom was from Marblehead, Massachusetts [S36:Ports. XI:122 & NH BRIDE'S INDEX]
