1st wife died on 06 February 1865; age 74; of Lung Fever in Saugus, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Philip & Elizabeth YEATON (both born in New Castle).
Married Ms. Scott on 02 January 1868 in Boston. He was 78; she was 40, born in Ireland (daughter of Robert & Letitia SCOTIA). Her 2nd marrage. She died on 24 December 1871 in Charlestown, Massachusetts of General Debility. At the time their address was 108 Water St., Charlestown [S36:MA DEATH RECS].
Married Mary LINNEY at age 83 on 06 May 1872 (she was 40, born in Ireland, daughter of James & Mary CARTER). He's listed as a 'Missionary' at the time [S36:MA MAR RECS]. Mary died 07 November 1873 in Boston, aged 40, of Intemperance. Her mother (Mary) was born in Ireland. [S36:MA DEATH RECS].
Married Margaret on 02 August 1875 (age 85). He was then a 'Peddler'. She was 29, born in England; daughter of Thaddeus & Hannah MONARCHY (her 2nd mar.).
Died in Boston of 'Old Age' (96); a widower. Resided then at 232 Friend St., Boston.
IF this is the man who matches the photo above, then he was the last survivor of the Cheasapeake-Shannon battle fought on June 1, 1813. His diary was said to dispute completely all official reports of the conflict. [s36: 12 March 1951 Newspaper clipping]
William TREFETHEN1000 (around 1823 - after 1849) Born in Massachusetts, the 1850 Malden Census shows him living in the same household as Nathaniel TREFETHEN, his brother, but there are no wives listed for either.
