On 16 October 1866, he sold his part of Trefethen's (Seavey's) Island to the government for $3,780.80.
No sign of children show in in the '50 census; just he, his wife, & mother-in-law.
Died in Portsmouth aged 64y, 5m. (son of James 0. & Betsy Randall [daughter William & Susan Randall Tref.]). A Petition for Probate of Will is listed in Suffolk Co. Probate Records (Massachusetts), 6/1871. He left everything to his wife.
