Resided in Rye, New Hampshire
Mary: daughter of Joseph & Abigail (Marden), born 25 September 1809 in Rye; died 30 September 1888 of Dropsy, in Rye.
He died at age 71.
Both he & wife are buried in Rye Central Cem. (Division II, Lot 57)
He took over fathers’ farm in Rye (Probate records indicate it was his brother’s - maybe both?);
He later left it to his son, John Edwin.
Was also a School Teacher, Town Selectman, and State Representative. ^{[Source 85]}
