Resided: Wareham, Massachusetts; moved to Kittery, Maine after retiring.
A Plumber & avid bird hunter.
Served in World War I.
Round and short of frame with a wide smile, thin when young. Was a "Teetotaler".
Loved life, his wife, armchair sports and his cocker spaniels.
His wife died only months after he did - this family is VERY close!
She was born in 1891, Brockton, Massachusetts, daughter of Charles Albert Jackson Churchill (born 1863) & Annie G. Morse (1864 - 1894). She had a brother, Chester “Chet”, whom (if memory serves me correctly) was a Police Chief. Chet was VERY TALL, which ran in the family as Mabel was tall and her father (affectionately called “Pop”) had to literally duck to go through doors. Chet married Viola Jadis (“great aunt Vi” to me) whom all I recall about had a glass eye (remember - I was just a kid). Chet & Vi had a son & daughter - William & Rebecca. Unfortunately both died without children so that branch of the Churchills is no more.
